Toxicology Program of the U.S department of the health and human service noted that
two chemicals, formaldehyde and styrene, are commonly found in these containers
are known or suspected carcinogens (National Toxicology Service, U.S.
Department of Health Human Services, 2014).

consider opting for eco-friendly, biodegradable plates and utensils? As those
traditional form of disposable plates is made using material which will not
easily decompose. Biodegradable utensils and plates come in a variety of styles
and colours and are crafted from a variety of natural plants – most commonly
corn polymers and sugar cane.
